Sounding Board

Even the most diligent CMO, finds the first quarter in the year is always the busiest. You know that it is the normal planning season, but you just can’t seem to free up your diary to dedicate focused time to get your budget plan together for the new fiscal year. As a previous Marketing Director at a global tech company an additional challenge for me was getting any facetime with my key stakeholders to gather their own plans to ensure we are fully aligned.

Bringing in an experienced external resource to “lean in” can be massively useful during this time of year:

  • Sharing ideas and industry best practices from outside of your own company.
  • Someone to bounce ideas around with. One that will give you genuine/honest feedback because they don’t work for you!
  • Ruthlessly analyze what didn’t work last year.
  • Is your marketing strategy going to deliver the business goals?
  • An extra resource to gather information from stakeholders and your marketing/sales teams around the goals and challenges facing them.
  • What resources (and where) are required to be able to execute the plan?

If you are interested in testing your marketing plan, or just want to bounce ideas around with someone who is experienced in technology/ IT services GTM, then sharpen your pencil and simply reach out.
